Engine Display Units (EDU)
The Century Jet engine instrument system is comprised of two separate Meggitt Avionics Engine Display Units (EDU), which project all critical engine and fuel information on two 4” x 3” LCD screens. The most important engine parameters are displayed in both analog and digital format using color to highlight exceedance conditions. Displayed parameters include Inter Turbine Temp (ITT), Low Pressure Spool Speed (N1), High Pressure Spool Speed (N2), Oil Temp/Pressure, Fuel Quantity, Fuel Flow (FF), Generator Voltage and Current, Battery Temp/Voltage/Current and Hydraulic Pressure. Three-axis trim indication is also presented on the displays. As added safety and redundancy, each EDU also has a selectable reversionary mode where all the data from both screens is compressed and displayed on one screen.
