Secondary Flight Display (SFD)
The Meggitt Secondary Flight Display System (SFDS) is the best solution to the requirement for standby flight information. The single Meggitt SFDS replaces two or three electro-mechanical standby instruments with a single 3ATI instrument, freeing up valuable panel space. All critical flight information is presented on a bright, color active matrix LCD display, including: airspeed, attitude, altitude, heading, Mach number and pressure. One of the best features of the Meggitt SFDS is that the attitude system consists of highly-reliable, solid-state inertial sensors and a microprocessor system that measures aircraft pitch and bank angles. Vacuum or mechanical gyro failures are a thing of the past with Meggitt’s solid state systems.
